The Coleman Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees, which is responsible for overseeing the Foundation’s mission, activities, and long-term stewardship. The Board provides strategic guidance, ensures the Foundation operates in accordance with its charitable purpose, and helps safeguard the responsible management of its resources.
In accordance with the Foundation’s Bylaws, the Board of Directors holds ultimate responsibility for the management and oversight of the organization. The Board works to ensure that the Foundation’s activities remain aligned with its mission and that all operations are conducted with integrity, transparency, and accountability.
The Board may establish policies, review programs and grants, and provide guidance on the Foundation’s priorities and strategic direction. Through this governance structure, the Board helps ensure that the Foundation’s work continues to benefit the communities and organizations it supports.
For purposes of tradition or preference, the Foundation may refer to the Board of Trustees as the “Board of Directors,” and individual members of the Board may be referred to as “Trustees.” These titles are interchangeable and reflect the same governing body responsible for the oversight of the Foundation.
